We're Kickstarting the expansion to HacKClad at the same time! Get two extra characters, more story, a new Clad, and even more ways to move round the battlefield with CROSS FATE, the expansion.

CROSS FATE introduces two new characters that unveil more about the city’s underground machinations, a new Clad to fight, co-op  mode, and all-new teleporting game mechanics.

You’ll use the same map board as the base game, together with a new Clad Sequence board and deck. Choose from the original 5 characters, or play as the new characters; Croy or Lov.

All characters can use the new Warp Gates that CROSS FATE introduces, but only Croy can create and destroy those new ways of moving around the map.

Fight the Clad as individuals, competing for the most Shards, or work together to take it down for good!

Play as Rosette, Flare, Mia, Luna, or Amelia—Witches with the power to read the battle and see what the monstrous Clad will do next.

Use up all the cards in your deck to upgrade your cards and charge up your actions. When you empty your deck, it becomes more powerful!

Once all turns on the board are taken, it’s time to pick your next turn order. Does your strategy involve quick, early strikes? Or will you take a later spot and wait for the battlefield to change in your favor?

As you get stronger, so does your foe. Keep pressing the Clad for victory points as it evolves over 9 rounds, unleashing increasingly fearsome attacks against the Witches.

HacKClaD is an arena battler that brings together elements of hand drafting, grid movement and deck building.

Player’s choose a Witch to face the Clad in battle, as it rampages around the board. The Clad is not player-controlled; it moves according to its semi-random routine.

HacKClaD takes action and strategy game mechanics to a new level of tension by merging attacking in the battlefield with deckbuilding and turn order agency.

Meddle in the Future Visible to You

The Witches predict the Clad’s movements with their power of precognition, giving them the advantage to slice their attacks neatly between the Clad’s.

Plan everything out by considering the timing of your turn and the strategy you’ll use. Step into movement planning and positioning by predicting what will happen in the fight after your turn. But there's also the chance that the other players might throw off your predictions with their own meddling in time.

Unfold the Many Strategies that Deckbuilding Brings to the Game

Each character has their own deck that you strengthen as the game progresses, and those unique cards bring out a variety of tactics as HacKClaD unveils. Gain stronger Skill cards and drive home the deadly combos, because the Clad’s deck becomes stronger as the rounds pass too, making it even more ferocious. Overall, the fight intensifies right up to the last, flourishing in a dynamic peak.

Tense Battle Inside the Field Boundaries

The Witches fight the Clad on a 5x5 square looping map—the edges of the field are connected like our map of the Earth. As it's a compact battlefield, the Witches and the Clad are always just a small distance apart, so the rampaging Clad continues to pose a threat to the player, making for a tense game. 

Strategy games can suffer from rules that allow players to corner a target, but HacKClaD's board keeps everyone on their toes, as no player can hang back to avoid the Clad! Nor can the Clad corner the players, making for a tense, but stress-free game.
